Recordings
The recording was made in 1994 at the Nikolić family home during rehearsals for a performance. The singer had requested it to assess the quality and possibly incorporate new ideas for the performance.

The lyrics begin with Sostar mindig dijarel ma, but the song title is usually Sostar minding xoxavel ma; both phrases have the same meaning, namely “to make a fool of, to drive crazy.” The song gained widespread recognition through two ORF documentaries.
Ruža Nikolić-Lakatos and The Gypsy Family published this version of Sostar mindig xoxavel ma on their CD Ruzsa Shej.
